Closing your account

You can close any time. We keep transaction records for 7 years (legal requirement) but anonymize personal data on request.

Updated 4 months agoReviewed by Dinora support

Closing your Dinora account is straightforward. Profile → Account → Close account. We'll ask why and confirm the action.

What gets deleted immediately

  • Your profile, photo, and bio.
  • Saved counterparties and chat threads (your side).
  • Saved payment methods and bank details.
  • Active sessions on every device.

What stays for legal reasons

  • Transaction records (7 years, AML/KYC requirement).
  • Sanctions screening logs (5 years).
  • Tax-relevant documents (varies by jurisdiction).

On request via email, we anonymize the personal data inside those records — your name becomes "closed account" and your contact info is wiped, while the transaction amounts and dates remain.
