Using rotating QR codes
Each handoff generates a one-time QR that proves the meeting actually happened — and prevents a counterparty from claiming a fake one.
There is no QR code and no scan. Each side confirms in the app what they personally saw happen — you confirm handing cash over, your person confirms receiving it — and Dinora records those confirmations with timestamps. A confirmation is a statement by a person, not proof generated by the system.
Why it rotates
The QR you see right now expires every 30 seconds. A new one is generated, signed by the server. If your counterparty tries to use an old screenshot, the scan fails. This blocks the most common cash-handoff scam.
How to scan
- Open the handoff screen on your phone.
- Tap Scan counterparty.
- Frame their QR code in your camera. The app handles the rest.
- Wait for both checks to come back green (yours and theirs).
If the scan fails, the most likely cause is a stale screenshot or an internet connection drop. Try again. After three failures, the meeting auto-pauses for an operator review.
